What battery?

Hello, I believe my battery is going bad, since the past two times I have tried to start my 02 Nissan Maxima and I've had to boost it, so I would like to know,

Which is the biggest and most powerful battery model and brand(prefer sealed battery) I can fit under the hood with out any additional modifications on the battery tie downs?

Thank you.

Duralast, Everstart, Diehard, Bosch, they are all good brands according to Consumer reports. But I'll still go Kirkland from Costco, coz their price is unbeatable. Never heard any negative feedback from Kirkland either.

How much is it? Walmart used to be $77 now I think it's closer to $100.

Is it actually 1000amps? Ive seen those batteries In walmart and personally would never put one of them in my car, bet money youre replacing that cheap junk more often. Costco would be higher quality and i have a membership there but i still buy duralast or interstate.

I've had good luck with AAP Autocraft batteries. I have one in my I35 and it handles the tough winters like a champ. Use discount codes and they're a good price.

Well, you are mistaken. I have bought my last two batteries at Costco.

Costco and SuperStore both sell batteries, both have long warranties and when you claim the warranty its almost always no question asked

ive always used Optima redtop myself, nothing but good with them

The group size of the battery you want is 24. Group 34 & 35 are physically smaller but would fit. Being smaller, they have less battery material inside them.

Shop around and compare. One brand may be more powerful than another brand.

I prefer interstate, they are notorious for lasting a long time. The walmart and autozone near me did not carry them so I went to my local National tire & batter and picked one up and installed myself. The previous owner of my auto gxe had the battery for 3 years with subs. I then purchased it and lasted me 2 1/2 more years with subs, and then it went kaput. It still holds a charge, and could probably last another year without the subs.

Interstate is good, run 3 of them big suckers on my boat since I got it in 2010 with no issue. 1 for boat electrical and 2 for trolling motor and outboard motor raise/lower.
