Special Bose Subwoofer Problem

My bose subwoofer has stopped playing well for the most part sometimes it plays for a short while but goes back out. Ive removed the power protection circuit as the solder joints on it were cracked and i at first believed this would fix my problem. i ran my power straight to the amp beneath the subwoofer still no sound so i decided i needed to dive in and get some testing done on this thing. I have confirmed my subwoofer works fine with another sound source and ive confirmed my amplifier also works fine. I have found my problem to be that i do not have a signal coming from the bigger black amp under the rear deck going to the smaller amp mounted beneath the subwoofer. has anyone else had this problem? if so did you fix it and how? all other speakers are working perfectly.
