02 max shuts off

Hey guys. i have a problem with my 02 maxima. It drives fine but at certain times when im driving the engine would cut off at any time and on the dash there would be the brake light, the engine oil light, and the battery light would come on when the car shuts off.

P1800 was the code that came up when this problem first started.
I have changed the solenoid valve like a week ago and the code went away and the car still cuts off and those lights on the dash come on.

If anyone could help me with this it would be really thankful!!!!!!

There could be two separate problems

- alternator (brake light and engine light)
- leak somewhere in the engine (causing car to shutdown)

No, I bet that the lights come on as a consequence of the engine shutting down; the alternator stops charging, and the lights come on. So, there is only one problem. However, should the lights come on before the engine shuts down, that would be a different story. O2gold, let us know what exactly is happening.

I have gotten the car read today and P0345 came up which is the camshaft sensor bank 2.

Do you guys know where this sensor is located?

A picture would be very helpful

See the "EC" section of your FSM, subsection "Parts Location" (it's EC-20 for my 2000 Max). If you don't have the FSM, download it from here: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/nis...e-manuals.html .
