Help
Co worker of mine has a 02 maxima that had spark plugs, oem coils, and valve covers replaced, but still has a slightly rough idle. It's not throwing a cel but it stores a p0300 code. I told him I would see if I could get some advise for him.

People talk about an ignition condenser that's wrapped up in the harness fixes this mysterious elusive code when it won't act right.
This is knowledge from FB, so take that how you will.
I looked into it and it's just a resistor.
Just felt like throwing that out there.
I'll see if I can find you a part number if you want.
Or just have a field day with an ohm reader..almost as much fun as throwing parts at it, but now I'm rambling.

Had this exact same problem,i have gutted cats so i knew it wasn't the pre cats causing this P0300 code with a slight rough idle, was not getting any O2 sensor codes but still decided to pull both upstream O2 sensors to have a look at them and they were both in very bad shape,i think they were the original sensors from when the car was manufactured, they are the big fat bosch sensors, any ways i replaced both upstream sensors with NTK ones and no more P0300 random misfire codes for 2 yrs now,i think my sensors were both going dead and reading slow causing a lean condition.Oh and before the fix i changed the usual stuff like spark plugs, coils, air leaks etc,so just skip all that if you have changed them and check your upstream O2 sensors.
