maf glued

Dealer told me maf is faulty they didn't try cleaning it so I did. Read the article about how to do it. Sprayed crc maf cleaner inside holes and one of them seemed to hold pressure so 8 kept spraying and it blew out the side of the sensor where it's glued together from the factory.wtf anyone else ever have this problem. Also with the sensor.like it is car drives good some days and bogs down others it's very inconsistent

Never seen one blow apart like that.

Just replace it. At some point, probably soon, it's going to leave you stranded and you're going to have to replace it any way.

Shop around online and you'll find a much better price than the dealer. If you wait till it brakes, you might not have that luxury.

Wrap the old one up and stash it somewhere in your car. Even if it's sketchy, it could still get you home one day. I found one in a junk yard and did just that. Mine failed years later and I was very happy to have the spare right there with me. Sometimes they fail without warning. It's just a fact of life with these cars.

5 years ago when mine died the car still moved, just rev and way less power, and happened while moving. Autozone wanted like $187 dollars, and I printed out A rockauto price I found for $80 and the manager was nice enough to price match it there. This was after I called A few autozones and spoke with the managers and told them about the rockauto price, some said they don't do internet price match but this one dude said bring it. Now those MAF are going for 20 bucks on ebay if you look good, got my spare ready lol.
