Oil pressure testing?

So I changed my oil and decided that since I'm in the oil subject to try and do an oil pressure test. The only port I know of on this car and I really haven't looked deep into it is the sending unit for the idiot light. So I'm looking at it and I see that on this car the sending unit is close to the oil pan. I started to unscrew it when oil started spilling out and I just wasn't having oil mess. Wasn't in the mood for it so I aborted the test.
Is there another port somewhere else that we can do pressure testing from?

Let it drain out...there's only so much oil in there (ie not a lot).

Removing the sending unit is similar to losing a small amount of oil when you remove your filter. Some will run out, but not much.

Why are you doing this? Do you suspect an issue?

Be careful and watch for leaks after you R&R the sending unit.

I was just curious what the pressure is at 124K miles aside from the fact that before I changed the oil. I heard dry starts almost half the times I started it. Granted I was running 5W 30. Yeah, I should've gotten rid of that thinner oil long ago. Now with the 10W 40 the idiot light goes out almost instantly. We'll see as the oil ages. Hopefully my oil consumption is less now with 10W 40 (Quart every 1K).

But yeah I'll try it again and make sure I have some spare oil available to top it off when it spills out.

Thanks guys.
