hi guys...anyone know the difference on the 01 maxima dates with the rear brake pads after 10/00 or before 10/00..are they interchangeable or they must have the proper fit on those dates,,i went to purchase the rear ceramic pads for my 01 se and the clerk asked me before or after oct 2000...i got confused,,the front pads are interchangeable on those dates but not the rears,,,any pointers

 

You're not alone, since when I got my brake pad at Autozone for my 2001 and I noticed the rear does not match to my originals since the Autozone has a tab on the top of the middle of the pad, so I went back and mine was built in July of 2001 which was a late production, so I went off a 2002 and it was exact match. Only weird thing is when you look at the hardware and the pad from a 2000-2001 and the 2002-2003 are different but they will work fine, but I rather stick what suppose to be originally.
