Car Audio Build Log for an 02 Maxi

Hey guys, i'm new here and this thread will be used for me to show you my car audio build. It will be slow coming so bare with me.

Equipment:
Deck: Eclipse AVN-726e
Subs: 2 Sundown Zv4 10s
Amp: Sundown NS-1v2
Speakers: Sundown neo-pro(6.5 or 8s.) haven't decided yet.
Tweets: 2 Obsidian audio st-1s
Highs amp: Sundown 50.4 or Sundown 100.4
Electrical: DC power 320spx-i , XS Power batteries and supercaps.
A Bunch of 1/0 wire other metal tools.

I know not everyone is a fan of car audio, and you may ask why all this...I'm trying to break 150 legal.

Pics to come soon.

That equipment plan is nice! What kind of sub case are you planning on getting or making? Any custom fab?

Wow! I envy your amps. I just fixed all my stuff... meaning legit speaker mounting. Cool you did the valve covers too. You are going to have a lot of fun!

Take some pics of the sound deadener too. I'm interesting in just doing my doors at some point. Probably not going all out though, haha.

Very nice. I put in a new headunit, but haven't taken a the total plunge yet. This motivates me. You're doing a nice job.

FWIW....in my other car I put in Fatmat Rattletrap, and that stuff did a fantastic job. It's pretty cheap on Amazon too. Until you do sound deadening, you don't know what you are missing.

Get on it man! the maxi trunk is pretty big if you're worried about space you can even make a box to fit behind the driver side rear wheel well (opposite of the jack and tools)

as for sound deadener ,yeah it makes a big difference!

^Everything looks great so far. High end components paired with high motivation/skills....will result in some amazing work once done. Sundown audio seems to be the choice brand for comps!

Out of curiosity, where did you run the power wire through, to run it through the car? I cant seem to find a place to get it through.

Underneath the driver side side skirt to the spare tire wheel well. theres a big grommet you can use to if you cut a hole in it. I actually cut a hole on the side of the wheel well to make it less visible. i will take a picture.

what gauge of wire are you going to run?

Nice job on the doors. I couldn't reach the inner part of the door, so I just did the outer part where you mount the speakers. Kinda feel like that was a waste of time.

Everything looks amazing though. So clean.

Thanks, it was a little tricky and i had to cut the deadener into smaller pieces...cut my hands quite a bit though fitting them in the small spaces

I am just awed by that bank of capacitors.

What is the power draw of the subwoofer when it hits?
