Car Temp: gage showing wrong reading showing hot.

Greetings!!
I have Maxima since 2 years, it is working great. I am living in hot weather area, anyway my car shows wrong reading of temp. it is hot when it reaches 3.5 k RPM it become hot like touch the hot red line when i decrease it come down. I aready installed new radiator. no loss of coolant water ever. 6 months ago my mechanic removed the valve of engine outlet Of water cooling system because it was jam as it leaked water below the valve from the pipe. Any advise. Thanks Regards.

It could be several things.

It could be the thermostat is not opening up enough.
It could be that the coolant level is low.
It could be the water pump impeller blades are corroding off.

What did the mechanic change 6 months ago? Was it the thermostat, the water pump or something else?

Also, please tell us what year your car is. They are not all identical.

Maxima 2003 (A33) 30.j its a model
It was the valve of cooling system. It was thermostat, he just removed it, not change.. he said it may not need it here in hot weather

OK... no thermostat means it is not the problem.

Then check the level of the coolant in the radiator. When you have driven the car and the engine is hot, part the car with the front end raised up may 12 inches. Let the engine cool off. When the engine is cold, remove the radiator cap and look into the radiator. It should be 100% full with coolant. No empty space with air.

Keep in mind that removing the thermostat valve you will eventually see a P1126 engine code. The book states "throttle control motor relay" but for 2k and 2k1 Maximas it relates to the thermostat.

Removing the thermostat valve is like a quick fix that's covering up some other problem.

Thanks for Help
what about minor leak in gas kit sealing ??
my mechanic is not looking expert to me because he didn't found any cause so he start thinking about that Gage meter is not working...
I checked my car no check engine light or i checked with device (check meter) no code error at all. i removed one sensor shows error put it back no error..
I said the car is not losing any coolant since i change the radiator

If you mean the head gasket I recommend using blue devil head gasket sealer as a temporary fix. The labor and of replacing a head gasket will be over $1000...most people get a rebuilt used engine at that point. However, blue devil can give you some more time. A lot of people have had success with it. Just make sure to follow the instructions to the tee.

On level ground, the radiator can appear to be full. But if there are air pockets in the engine, you will not know this. You raise the front end of the car to let any air pockets escape.
