Hi Friends,

Pulled a p0154 (OXYGEN SENSOR), p1168 (CLOSED LOOP VENT) and p0300 (MULTI-MISFIRE) codes today.

Trying to locate the "OXYGEN Sensor(s)" first." (i did a search online but the diagrams where confusing and listed lots of other cars under a 3.5 maxima search.

I understand there are 2 OXYGEN SENSORS. Parts store told me there is a LEFT and RIGHT. I'm assuming they are looking from the front of the motor (where belts are located).

Can someone tell me if this is one of the them?
I found in the front of the motor Next to radiator.
Not sure where #2 is located ? ? ?

1. If this is the "RIGHT", ....where is the "LEFT?"
2. This one looks pretty new...not sure what to think of that code ? ? ?
3. Car is also throwing, p1668 and p0300
4. Weird because car was running rough today...then "smoothed out."

Any help you can give is appreciated...THANKS VERY MUCH !

The left is on the opposite side of the engine. I'm not sure if you'll be able to see it because it's kind of covered up by the intake manifold.

 

P0154 refers to "Front O2 Sensor, Bank 2". So, you got the correct one.

The terminology is:
Bank 1 = "right = "by the firewall".
Bank 2 = "left" = "by the radiator"

The Fed-spec Maxima has three O2 sensors; the Cali-spec engine has four. Check out this diagram: http://nissanhelp.com/diy/maxima/pro...r_location.php .
