2000 Maxima missfire???

My freind has a 2000 Se 5 speed. He's having this problem which sounds like the car is missfiring. The first time it happend the engine roughly idled about 30 seconds. The second time it happend he was driving and realized that the car lacked alot of power. The check engine light flicked on and off a couple of times. About five minutes into driving it went away. The third time almost the same thing happend except this time he heard some knocking that sounded like it was coming from the engine. He turned the car off and then turned it back on but to get it started he had to give it gas. The problem then went away. As of right now the car is performing just fine and the check engine light is off. He has a JWT intake and a Greddy Exhaust.
Has anybody had this problem? Does anybody have an idea on what may be the problem? Thanks.

Hey Hogan! I showed my freind what you typed but he doesn't know what you mean by coil TSB? He also said if you think you can fix the problem he would pay you.
Sorry to hear about the poop, videos and worst day. But at least you got the problem fixed.

- Peace out

have a similar problem on my auto 2K max, ever since i my stillen intake was installed i noticed the engine was acting strange. I can hear the valves knock alittle when i acclerate. I put the factory intake back in and it cleared it up but not entirely. it still rides a little rough at times though..

He took it to Nissan a few months ago and they said they couldn't find the problem. Now he has a JWT intake and a Greddy exhaust. Should he take them off? Are they going to bust his ***** about it?
