According to Wikipedia, the 2002 Maxima had "some interior refinements" compared to the 2000 & 2001 models.

What were those interior refinements?

THere were some interior refinements from the 01- 02 model. THe intrument cluster was different, the shifter was also different, but to my knowledge that is the only difference I see. Now exterior was different, longer body, hid lights, bigger engine.

 

Blinker and wiper arms are different

 

Speaker and cruise controls are different. Computer fpr temp in and mpg is different too

 

The shift lever for the auto trans is different and the shift lever does not travel in a straight line, it has side detents.

The eye glass holder by the rear view mirror is bigger, so that pod with the map lights and sunroof switches is different.
