upgrading injectors
Hey guys i plan on upgrade to a 4 inch intake in the near future from a guy on the forums that makes them but i hear i have to upgrade my injectors for this some people say you can run the stock injectors but its a 50/50 shot I don't wanna the chance especially with 164k on the odometer i hear you can use wrx injectors i dont know what year though I wanna find the cheapest price possible dont wanna spend 500 dollars for 440cc injectors :/

I'll say get used to the search bar and find out what you are trying to do first, because a 4" intake on a stock car doesn't really fall into a supporting mod category
I'll suggest reading the sticky's on the "all motor" sec or the tc/sc sec if you wanna make your car go faster

If you want my opinion? Save the injector money. Unless you plan on going fi in the future, you don't need injectors for a 4 inch intake. There's guys that have/are running stock injectors on boost. So you don't need injectors and the hassle that comes with them for an intake. What you would want depending on your future plans/generation car you have is wideband/tunning instrument. If you're a 5gen and are not interested in fi perhaps safc and lc1. If you see fi in your future emanage ultimate/wideband. If you're a 5.5gen no matter fi or not utec and txs tuner. I say this because there are plenty of utecs out there for 150 or less and plenty of txs widebands in the same ballpark. So given the price you may as well skip the safc route and have way more control for the same or less money. You would also be set if you change your mind on fi. Just one mans opinion.

I don't see why you would need injectors for bolt on mods. I think you'll find that headers, intake and exhaust will result in the car actually running rich at full throttle and needing to be leaned out. Fuel starvation is not an issue.

Just save your money with the "bolt ons" and turbo it. I see guys spend a whole lot of money on these parts to gain 3hp here 10hp there. That's fine but the cost for some of these bolt ons vs the minimal gain in hp is ridiculous imo. By the time you ad up the cost of these trinkets you could have or at least be very close to a turbo'd car making real power and very fun to drive. It just seems a little silly to me to spend big money on something you MAY get 8hp out of (not saying any one bolt on in particular). I would be willing to bet you wouldn't notice an 8 hp increase or decrease in the car if you didn't pay for it. So I say turbo nitrous or supercharge it or save the cash. Just my 2 cents.

Clearly this guy Matt dont know crap about these cars.go ahead put the 4" intake on with out injectors and a tune and see what happens.even the 3.5" intake with your mods are going to need upgraded injectors and a tuning device ask matt at what % duty cycle the stock injectors are running to compensate for the increase in airflow ask matt what his afr is and what its running at then ask matt if you follow his directions if he's going to replace your engine when you kill it listening to him.as far as gains with full boltons people have reached 305hp this is well documented and dyno proven.stop listening to noobs like Matt and refer back to the product manufacturer on how to get the best results from it.

I've been running a similar setup for the last 10 years with no problems. Hotshot headers, full exhaust, intake and an AFR controller. I have had the car dyno tuned and I do know what's going on with it.
When I had it tuned they actually had to lean the AFR because it was running very rich at full throttle. In other words, the injectors were pumping too much fuel. There were a lot more people modding these cars back then and they all had the same results. Intake and exhaust mods trick the computer into running rich and an AFR tune leans it out to create more power. Fuel starvation isn't an issue.

Ad up a car with full bolt ons and see how much you've spent with brand new parts tell me what you come up with? How much were cattman headers and 3 inch exhaust alone. In the neighborhood of $2000 right? Nwp throttle block off plate spacers $600 - 700. The list goes on and on. We're close to $3000 and I'm just getting started.

Yea nothing is used on your car big deal. So your the sucker that pays an ungodly amount of money for a throttle body kit to gain 8hp. Your right though I do but used stuff and I also look for the best deals to. You know why cause I'm smart. I work hard for my money and I'm not going to give it up for 8hp.

Everything under the turbo part of your list.
