This isn't where I found the info, but assume that the part number is 11110-2Y000:

If it's a manual pan, then why replace it? Just extend the wires. Hell, idk if an auto pan even bolts up to the tranny LOL. I never compared pans before, just chucked them.
If the timing ring lines up with the hole for the CPS, then it will work.

Anyone know if 6th gen manual pans are the same as 5th gen?

The 6th gen part numbers for both the lower and upper oil pans are different from the 5th gen. The 7th gen part numbers are different again.

There is only 1 upper oil pan listed for the 5th gen, so evidently the trans type doesn't matter.

On the 6th gen upper oil pan, which is what the crankshaft sensor bolts on, there are 2 different ones. One fits the manual and 4 speed auto trans and the other is for the 5 speed auto trans.

The reason i cant just extend the wires is bc there is half a hole on the transmission and the other half on the oil pan these dont line up at all so its easier just to replace the pan. I got it out today in about 2 hours just waiting for my 5th gen pan to show up. I'll take pictures of the pans side by side. Just wish i knew how to identify the pan i have for sure so maybe i could sell it

I thought about it, but im not sure if the location of the cps matters as far as the ecm. But it really hasnt been a bad job so far. Hardest thing has been exhaust bolts, surprise surprise, also i had a pretty nasty front main leak so it had to come out anyways.

Yeah, I forgot about that. That would matter LOL. But, I bet it works b/c it's the same engine. It would still have to be aligned correctly to start for the other car...so this one, too.

Ewww. I hate people that can't RTV correctly

It's too bad nissan didn't do some extra work and only use the cam sensors for crank position when starting or kept the CPS just below the crank pulley like on the 3.0. I think it's pretty irrelevant to check it on the output.
