2001 AE manual, 114xxx, w the full catmann exhaust setup....and that's it for power mods. Still running stock intake. Looking for more power so I'm thinking of buying these spacers along with an unorthodox UDP.

I've been reading a lot of threads about these...... and I have three questions that I haven't been able to find answers to:

1- I DO NOT want the EGR version, correct? It's my understanding the 2001 AE's do not have the EGR valve, but I want to make sure before I buy. They offer two versions for the 2001 year on nwp's website (and I don't understand why?):

2- Are there any negative effects to certain areas of the power band with these spacers? I don't want to lose low and/or mid-range power. I don't see why there would be.....but I'm a newb so I don't know. Have any of you guys with these installed noticed that? FYI I don't have BOP because of the reported loss of low-end power.


3- Is the reported "whistling" noise really noticeable? Or is that more common on the 5.5 gens?
