Care will not idle
Care will not idle
Hey guys, got a issue with my 2001 Nissan Maxima, I'm not sure what is the problem, but my car will not stay cranked/idle everytime I take my foot off the gas pedal the car dies. I am suspect that my fuel pump will need to be replaced. Can anyone offer any advice as to what might be the problem?

Well just took it into the shop and found it's the IACV. Was told the part alone would be $500 bucks, does that sound about right? Dennis, the check engine light came on last night.

Check out the following:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Idle-Air...lUs0qJ&vxp=mtr
At one time the prices were high, but dropping rapidly.

- Make sure your ECU is not damaged.
- If your ECU is damaged, you need to fix your ECU and replace your IACV - and you need to do both of these things at the same time.
- If your ECU is not damaged, you only need to replace your IACV. Courtesy parts sells them for about $241; here is the link: http://www.courtesyparts.com/oe-nissan/237812y012
Edit: Corrected the URL for IACV part.

Have you read the doc I gave you the link for? The answer is in the last section.
