Heater core without discharging A/C, Possible?
Replacing those dumb plastic hoses and well im trying to do it without discharging my a/c. I'm at an impass now and im wondering if anyone has worked around this?

I think you will have to remove the a/c evaporator core in order to get to the screws. In the 4th gen section there is a guy Pmohr that really knows those cars and he did that job and says you have to remove the evaporator core. Since the 4th & 5th gens have a lot of similarities, I think you will.

Thanks for your reply, I didn't have any questions on how to remove the heater core, I know how to do it.
Which involves disconnecting the A/C lines to gain access to all of the screws around the box, but I don't want to do it that way.
I am down to two screws before I can crack the heater box open, if I could angle the box about 15 degrees (ehhh almost impossible) or move it up a few inches (impossible).
WAIT! Just figured it out... Maybe I can pull it out just a smidge. I will attempt that this weekend.
Time is not of the essence, just really rather not go through the hassle of doing proper A/C work
