how much to install a hlsd
i couldn't wait any longer...i need to get the max02 now but so far nobody has hsld equipped maxes and the $1000 rebate ends this week....so i'm considering ordering the hsld from factory and install it later by a pro...btw, is $500 over invoice(excluding rebate) a good deal for an 02 max se 6spd.

I dont even know how to answer this question, I mean it is going to cost you an arm and a leg to get HLSD. I mean not only the ECU probably needs to be changed but probably the front differential. That is gonna be big bucks not to mention you aint gonna find it anywhere but a dealer. And pretty sure they gonna have them parts on back order as well.

The HLSD is self-activating. It does not use any sensors or anything. All you would need to do is replace the front diff with an HLSD diff. That's it. No ECU.
Also, if the OEM Nissan HLSD is too expensive, you could go aftermarket with a Quaife or similar unit.
