Clutch Jerking (Slow Driving)

Fidanza lightweight flywheel
Stage 1 clutch
ES bushings for shifter pieces
Ralco STS adapter
02 Spec V internals

The slower I try to drive the more the car chatters, head jerks etc. Am I crazy or is it easier to shift the car now under "spirited" driving conditions? By this I don't mean shifting at 5000 rpm I just mean heavy use of the gas pedal shifting around 2800 rpm (my friend observed me doing this and said I was flying from light to light...)

N to gear 1 -> I don't rely as much on getting the bite point then gas. More hit the bite point and give it some significant gas... I don't get a clutch burning smell plus smoother ride but is this safe?

gear 1 to gear 2 -> I'm trying shifting from gear 1 to 2 at 2500 rpm but still head jerks but I'm releasing the clutch slowly... Release too slow then rpm drops too much

gear 2 to 3 -> Aim for 2000 rpm but getting tired and just doing 2500 rpm. Usually can do this with minimal head jerking

4 - 6 accelerating and downshifting is okay

Getting into reverse with the short shifter adapter is a pain in the ****.

Should I REV engine a bit after engaging clutch now to reduce head jerking?

It's the flywheel. Less mass so the engine spools down quicker.

How long have you had the Fidanza?

It does require a slightly higher RPM when launching and you have to keep the RPMs up when shifting.

The 3.5 with its 31 pound dual mass flywheel is like a bicycle with training wheels. It's very easy to drive but it holds the car back and can help drivers develop bad habits.

This is NOT a lightweight flywheel problem.

There's no reason to release the clutch slowly. Disengage clutch and go to neutral at w/e RPM you want. Let revs fall, so it rev matches as you throw it into the next gear. I "shift" fast (clutch release) at 1,500-2.5k in city traffic all the time so smooth you'd think you're in an auto. This is how I shift normally regardless of RPM (double clutching up top if skipping gears). After owning a car for a decent amount of time you should be able to rev match up and down while never having to look at the tach. This makes the driving experience very seamless, easy and enjoyable.

If you fully engage the clutch too far off from rev match it's going to cause jerking regardless of the flywheel (less mass equals less jerk too).

I don't know what your issue is attributed to, George, but I had to rant about this absurdness that will be mentioned. I don't think such a mild clutch would need to be broken in to behave normally, but maybe?
What brand clutch is it?

I'd also like to point out that its a brand new clutch disc...
I have a strange feeling that this clutch WILL NOT LAST LONG. Especially describing the way you're driving. Sounds a lot like you're riding it to be honest.
You shouldn't be having these issues with just a stage one act clutch kit.
If anyone wants I'd gladly show you the emails back and forth I've had with George. I own my own shop and keep telling him that if he was my customer I'd break it down really easy, get rid of the car and drive an auto. All this non-sense that you keep filling the forum with about driving a manual car is sad.

Also would like to point out that this is the third? disc he's on in about 6 months. So sad I feel so bad for the car I cry myself to sleep at night...

You should get 100k out of a disc even if driving hard. I guess I haven't seen other threads.
