Speaker & Antenna question

I have a 2k2 with stock stereo system. It sounds a litle muffled to me. If I were to replace the stock speakers with aftermarket would that help. No other modifications are planned. I really dont want to cut up the car and would like direct replacement speakers. Any suggestions for speaker brand(nothing to crazy just clean sound)

Also is there any type of amplifier for the antenna. This car with window antenna seems to drop signals faster than previous cars with external antennas.

Re: Speaker & Antenna question

It will definitely sound better with aftermarket speakers. I have Infinity Reference 605cs (component) up front and 652i (coaxials) in the back. Sounds a lot better than stock. But now i want a sub too.

Remember that everytime you take out the OEM's the bass will be severely lessened as OEM speakers are tweaked to give a much fuller sound (read: exagerrated bass, treble, midrange)
