RainX Windshield washer fluid…

Worked great in the rain and dry! $2/gallon at Wal-Mart, and the stuff really works. A couple of sprays before braving the rain, and it was like I had just rain-Xed my windshield. Also, it does a better job of keeping bugs and dirt off my windshield than the regular blue stuff. I highly recommend this washer fluid guys. And for $2 it’s hard to go wrong.

BTW, no freaky "Rain-X" film either.

I have the Rain X De icer fluid in my 4X4. And it works great. cleans up everything, even the road salt comes off easily. And your right there is no rain X film on the winshield also. The only problem is my 4X4 is white and this fluid is Pink, so instead of getting blue water on your paint it is now pink and you can't leave it on there too long or it will stain the white, but nothing polishing compound can't take out

Rain-X damaga paint?

Would it damage (or discolor) the paint on a new 2k2? Any comments / experiences with similar products would be useful.
Thx in advance.

I doubt that it would 'damage' the paint, because if it did, who would buy it. As mentioned above, it might leave pink removeable stains on lighter colored cars, but it shouldn't be any worse for the paint than regular washer fluid.

I have been using RainX since 1996. I do not like to use a washer fluid because this stuff is more like a polish for your windows. If you spray it on the windshield, wipers will only create a mess. RainX is great for driving in tha rain at high speeds...I even turned my wipers off as others struggled to see anything at all.

Nono ... RainX makes washer fluid as well. It's not the RainX you apply.

I had RainX washer fluid... good stuff.
