Best cheap catback?

A lot of the catbacks for the maximas are fairly expensive , I just got my 2000 maxima SE after having a sentra spec v and they were a bit cheaper. Basically, I want a nice deep sound, originally I was just going to get an intake, but I think id rather just get a catback. I see the obx on amazon for like 370 but I wanted to budget around 300, otherwise ill just spend the cash. Any suggestions?

If deep sound is what you want a catback(especially cheap) will make your car raspy as hell(think civic fart can). Granted there are name brands that are properly resonated and don't rasp. I would just go with headers and the downpipe, while keeping the stock muffler and rear piping. My muffler fell off and it sounds "good" enough for me not to fix it. Headers would add a nice rumble, more power, and can be had for a decent price.

I mean I figured a catback would sound nice on this car especially because its a v6. I would get a header but I feel like it would be pretty difficult to install, I got one on my sentra but it was a 4 cylinder and there was a lot of space.

I wouldn't go cheaper than the OBX. It's 276 on ebay. I have no idea what it sounds like, though...

There's a 4" t304 stainless steel mandrel bent fart cannon on ebay for $140 shipped.

I bought this to replace my stock rusted one. Sounds great, isn't loud, minimal drone. I'm pretty happy with it. Doesn't look like a ricer fart cannon either. I bought it a couple years ago and it has held up well IMO, especially for the price. Best part is that it keeps the stock resonator so there isn't any drone. They do sell a similar one that comes with a resonator, I suspect it's louder.

Don't buy something obnoxiously loud. You're not fooling anyone that this is some fast sports car.

Axle back would be better since the stock resonator is better than a cheapo aftermarket.

I paid $500 for my Megan racing cat back. Was definitely worth the money. Sounded GREAT without headers. It's a little louder than I like now that I have the headers installed. Every riced out civic tries to race me now.

No one ever tried racing my modded ser spec v when I had it but for some reason tons of people try to race my max now that it's modded. I'm not one for street racing as I got caught in 2005 running 146mph while street racing and I lost my spec v because of that. Plus it cost me a TON of money to stay out of jail.
The only place I play is on the track or the one mile private rd (hoa owned and no houses) that goes back to my subdivision. Much safer that way

Can't wait to get a 75mm throttle body, 4inch intake, and get my vafc2 installed. Then I will be done.
