Replacing climate fan in Range Rover. Be glad we have Nissans.
This Range Rover was in the shop this week having the climate control fan replaced at 90,000 miles. It lives in the hollow place in the upper center of the dash.
I helped with part of it but was thankful to be working on something else.
Just something to think about next time you curse the Max for being difficult.

Yeah, A lot of euro cars are pure junk.
Cheap plastic, plastic hoses that break if you look at them wrong, overly complex designs, components that fail in well under 100k and are buried deep in the car.... I'm constantly amazed that these cars are considered "quality".
I'm not sure exactly. It was also having the super charger snout replaced so there was a lot of other work being done. I didn't see the actual bill. I'm sure it was more than the value of an average 5th gen Maxima though.

I had a 1984 Volvo. I found out the hard way that the fan was pretty much like that. Pretty much everything was built into this big "block" that was in the center of the dash. You had to remove the dash and then the seats so you could remove the "block" from the car and then open it up.
Car went to the junkyard.
