13.5 months...just long enough to have paid off a substantial amount of INTEREST on his new car.

I am sticking by Russ

on this one. I say the 2K2 is the one for at least 3 years. The 2K2 just has so many upgrades over the 2K's and 2K1's to not jump on the 3.9 apr. Go Russ.

Haven't you heard? Russ test drove a 1.8T or some GTi VR6 because he is sick of his Maxima rattling and Nissan service. He thinks VW has better service

Good for Russ! Seriously! Boosting Nissan sales! I hope this is true and he enjoys the ride!

Russ: You live in Texas so I hope you lower this one! That is one of the first mods that car needs bigtime (2k2 Max auto or 6spd) if you remotely performance drive!

man that picture is sad

One guy is wearing what looks to be a Members only jacket, and the other guy has a nice festive Christmas sweater.

Nope, I am just selling all my mods, because the dealer and Nissan just voided my warranty, and I am gonna take action.

if that was the case then you would have took the mods off.. get the work done "which actually is insurance work.. not dealership work" and then get the car fixed and put the mods back on..

Russ you can't pull this one over our eyes

What color 2k2 are you going to get? What mod(s) voided your warranty and for what issue? What do you have for sale? PM me!

Ask the dealership to put it in writing that your mods voided your warranty.

Here is some amo for you Russ.

Look at this:

www.sema.org/warranty/atta.cfm

It says this one part:

. Further, consumers are advised to be aware of any specific terms or conditions stated in the warranty which may result in its being voided.

In the owners manual of Nissan Maxima, it says the car can not be used for racing or commercial something, and will not be warrantied.

Russ please keep your 5thgenmaximas.com site for a while. It is an excellent forum for us still. Would be very cool if you gave a 30 day notice before you shut it down.

Thanks Russ!

Dealer finds out he's racing ==> instant warranty death. It varies from dealer to dealer but they are within their rights if it's in the warranty.

Russ, The dealer has to prove that the mod was the cause of the problem, otherwise the dealer has no leg to stand on.

Russ you brought it in for an accident repair, which doesn't help you in any way. However, I do think it's time for you to move away from the Nissan nameplate. You are a marked man.

You're missing the problem... there's nothing too wrong with his car, the dealer just found out he was racing it. Racing the car voids the warranty, and the dealer followed the warranty to the letter.

Is there a way to get

around this dealer or has he somehow marked your car in a database that voids your warranty with any Nissan dealership? How many miles do you have on your ride? did you have the extended warranty.
