Mix and Match Clutch Disc/Pressure Plate Brands?

Has anyone out there tried mixing manufacturers of these parts on their ride?

I want to replace the friction disc only. I have a LUK clutch in the car and from what I can see, LUK does not sell the disc only ... you must buy the kit.

Now Exedy on the other hand, does sell the disc only.

Long story short - will the Exedy disc work with my LUK pressure plate?

If I could measure the 2 discs (thickness and diameter) I would know the answer but since I can't, I was hoping someone out there could share your experience if you've done it.

It should be fine. I can't see any reason it wouldn't work as long as we're not talking about higher stage racing clutches.
