New tranny in and.........

it shifts too soft now! The original tranny shifted very quick and firm, the new one shifts slower and softer.

Any ideas why this is? Could the line pressures be low?

Is my only option a VB job? or can I have Nissan adjust anything to get the new tranny to shift like the old one?

Just curious, Why did you need a new tranny?

I DOUBT they would adjust it... you might want to check the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts under heavy throttle. If you get the same slippage you could probably get them to fix it. I think you might want to check your ATF level. Other than that its VB mod as far as I know.

It shifts too soft between both 1-2 and 2-3 any ideas? This is under full throttle only.

Is it actually slipping? If so you might be able to get them to look at it under the auto tranny TSB.

Samething I went through, took a few weeks for the tranny to feel more solid, then I went to Level Ten, and had everything re-worked, again, at least this time, I got a nice hook up.

Cost me one hunting trip for deer in the spring, and a fishing trip to Islamorada in FL in the summer, my treat. All for a free Stage 3 rebuild.

How do you like your level ten? I will be going SC soon and want to beef up the tranny first and get the shifts firm.

The L10 tranny so far has been reliable, and giving me excellent shifting action. Solid and Firm. I had my VB recalibrated for a harsher shift, which is something that L 10 can do as well. They are somewhat "local" for me, so its easily done. VB mods. Don vs L 10. L 10 is pricier, but you get support from Level Ten.
Thanks for the word
