Car dealer in Los Angeles

I am looking to buy a Max SE in the Los Angeles area. Does anybody recommend a good Nissan dealer?

Also, does anybody have any good stories about getting good deals on a 2k2 SE 6 speed?

I got my 2K max (almost 2 years ago) at Lou Webb's Irvine Nissan..(about a half hour south of LA). I got it for about $200 below invoice. Of course that was after a lot of haggling. But they had a really good selection.

I purchased a 6sp three weeks ago, drove to Nissan Irvine and got a really great deal on the car. $300 below invoice. Settled on the price before I drove down to pick it up. The sales guy I dealt with made sure the car was on the lot and called me to say he had actually put his hands on the car. Actually they had two and the VIN number he gave me was for the one on the dealer floor. In my humble opinion stay away from Universal City and Downtown Motors.

Don't go with Santa Monica!

Their sales staff and finance guys are a bunch of shady ******. Service is pretty good (although they will try to upsell you to all the stupid little service packages).

I've heard good things about a couple of dealers in the valley. Miller Nissan seemed pretty good when I went there, and their Infiniti dealership next door certainly is really friendly. I heard Universal Nissan was the largest. If you don't mind going all the way to the valley to get your car (just a pain in the a$$ if you need to bring your car there for service.. unless you live there).

I ended up getting my i35 from Miller... go through one of those online services coz you usually get to deal with the fleet manager.

I can't stand Miller. My dad and I went to the Infiniti dealership looking at a used I30. The salesguy wasn't taking us seriously and he was a complete pr!ck, saying like we couldn't afford an Infiniti. What the hell was he thinking? We own 4 cars!

I actually test drove a car there. I live in the valley so Miller is quite close. They seemed 'OK'. I used to own an infiniti and their service dept. is pretty good.

I actually started out dealing with Long Beach Nissan. Very upfront, took care of me, but when it came to price, they wouldn't deal on the Marketing Assessment fee.
