Nurburgring Carousel
I've been quiet on the forums as my Maxima has been EXTREMELY reliable the past 2 years and have been putting much time in to my newly acquired 1991 Lotus Excel instead.
Last year I took the Maxima out to the Nurburgring and I have to wonder how many other 2002-03 Nissan Maxima SE's have made it there? It was truly a blast, and just found out there were photographers there the day I drove it (15 November 2015) and was able to buy the pics!!
I'm no racecar driver, but I assure you the near stock Maxima is NOT a track car. The ceramic brake pads were fading 1/4-1/3 of the way in. The V-rated tires had questionable grip at times and I the stillen strut bar was out-cornered by seemingly stock hatchbacks. I did manage to pass a Porsche 944, but a 911 and Nissan Sylvia exploited how poor this car handles and my driving skills.
The car will be sold in the springtime here in Germany.
