01 SE idle surging issue and....

hey guys...couple questions, my 01 has started this issue as of lately...upon starting while its warming up, the idle will occasionally start surging a couple hundred rpms. it has started it since the temps have been in the 20-30's. its fine once it gets fully warmed up...
2. upon cold start when it first fires off, it revs to about 1600 rpms for a split sec which allows the topend to sing for a millisec cause all oil is in pan...after its been started initially it starts and revs to like 900-1000 which is fine. is this cold start rev normal? thanks in advance

1. Clean your MAF sensor
2. Rev is completely normal, mine does the exact same thing

I fixed issue #1 on mine not too long ago. The plenum gasket was all worn out and messed up. You probably will need to change yours.

Clean your conector to your CHT sensor or change the sensor itself!
