2000 Nissan Maxima GXE

I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima GXE. Just replaced bad alternator 25 days ago and had battery tested........advised good.


Since replacing alternator vehicle has been driven 3 times and approximately 75 miles with no problems. Five days ago I started engine and let engine warm up for about 10 minutes with outside temp at 15 deg F. I put vehicle in gear and pulled out of my driveway. Vehicle started running extremely rough and shuttering. Instrument panel displayed battery light blinking with brake and airbag lights on. Car died, jumped battery and was able to park vehicle, but died again. Ignition clicks, unable to start.


Any thoughts, comments, suggestions would be appreciated........thanks!

Could be bad alternator again. they seem to be hit or miss unfortunately

Belt tension ? Should be 180 lbs
