Remanufactured Autozone Starter Noise
Couldn't find this problem on the forum so...here goes another starter thread (sorry fellas).
2000 Maxima SE with 191,000 miles
I recently replaced my starter because it was cranking slow - ended up going to Autozone for their remanufactured starters. The first one they gave me would spin but not engage the flywheel half the time. It was also causing my CEL to throw a P1335 code. I figured it was a bad solenoid causing funny current issues.
So I go back and (they reluctantly) give me another starter. This one starts right up every time but makes this "whooshing" sound right after the car cranks up. I noticed it corresponds to how long I hold the ignition switch but maybe that's a coincidence. Anyways, any cause for concern here? I suspect the starter isn't disengaging the flywheel and is being taken for a spin. And I doubt AutoZone will give me a 3rd starter unless I can prove this one is defective. Video below for reference, thanks in advance!

I have a duralast starter and it works great! Good value and quality!
bring it back and get them to test it by jumping it with 12 V
The solenoid is i think actually made in the USA but the actual remanufactured part maybe done in Malaysia

The woosh sound is probably normal. Your car sounds just like mine at start up. It idles nicely!
The starter is direct from the battery(550 amps) and another 40 amp line from the ignition right? It always gets 550 amps but the 40 amp line tells it to make contact with the 550 amps?
