Sold my '02 5.5 fully loaded GLE about 2.5 years ago now... buyer got it wrecked but always wondered how far she would have gone.

She was young at around 120K miles IIRC and purchased brand new.

How many miles has someone taken a stock engine on the 5.5's these days?

My DE wasn't an oil burner.

EDIT: I guess I had around 126k miles looking at my old post.

 

As far as you can drive it as long as cat delete

 

Maybe I was a lucky one?.. a lifetime of Chevron Supreme 92, Amsoil 5W-30 and only an occasional need to exercise the engine. :-)

 

208k here smooth as butter

 

130700 for me. So I lose.

 

223,000 miles on my 02 with almost no oil burning and no engine work.
10,000 mile oil change intervals with synthetic.
WELL over 100 passes down the drag strip.
