New trans

My car went in yesterday for a new trans.

but on the brighter side I'm going to try to get the limited slip from Cattman. Since the Nissan dealer has the trans down I will have them install it.

What happened to the transmission? I was hoping that the problems were only happening to the autos -- since I have a 5sp, NOT that I wish bad luck on other members, because I don't!!!!

I had a clunking sound only in first gear from idle to about 2700 rpm. I frist thought it was an axle but then realized the noise was at low rpm only in first. When I figured out what it was I had a lot of fun trying to completly break it.

IS YOURS A FIVE SPEED? YUP MUNE WENT OUT TOO. I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. AND SUDDENLY I LOST 4TH. THEN GOT OFF THE FREEWAY AND NO 1ST OR 2ND.! SO NISSAN REPLACED IT.

Yup I have a 5-speed. I almost lost 1st, it was getting very hard to get into gear.

That really sucks what happened to your car.
