2.5" or 3" Exhaust?

I just picked up a stock 03 6spd. I want to start off with an exhaust and intake for now since it's my daily. Intake will likely be a JWT popcharger.

For exhausts, I'm debating between 2.5" or 3" inch setup. Originally I wanted to go used Cattman due to fit and finish. But I was speaking with another member and after some reading, it sounds like 3" inch piping is the way to go. So what's the verdict?

Also, since it's a daily, I'd like to keep the drone to a minimum. I was looking at the BRM 3" inch with 18" resonator. My concern is the droning.

I plan to just do the catback setup (for now).

EDIT: I've read several different threads. Just trying to get the setup correct.

Thanks!

My reading says the resonator length makes the most different so I think you are going in the right direction. Also, thx for the scoop on the BRM info as I am looking for a replacement system for my 2000 as the Walker unit I have on it is bad after 7 years of Nebraska and Iowa winters.
