Urgent help!

So I'm looking to get a 2000 maxima se standard 145k needs a couple of cosmetic parts to be fixed that doesn't worry me what it got kinda worry me is that it have the code p05050 and I Google it some places said that it's not a big problem others said that I have to replace the cam what everybody recommend me???

If you indeed have code P0505 then your car should be idling badly. Read the document about ECU failures (link in my signature), it explains both the problem and possible solutions in detail.

Well the day that I went yo see the car I start it kinda hesitate at firsr but later it didnt ible at all but thats the thing I'm afraid that once i buy it and take it home it would start to act crazy and I font need another project car at the moment plus from what I had read if the sensor it's bad the ecm most likely is toast too and that sounds expensive I really like the car don't really care about the cosmetic thing that needs to be fixed but I'm consent about the engine plus this would be my dd and I don't want to get stuck on traffic in a really hot day with my son with me or get stuck on my way to pick him up
