Misfire, no light, no stored or pending codes, rattling/grinding noise.

It started with a light tapping noise, now the noise is worse if its the same thing making noise. It's kinda like a ratting grinding noise. It's misfiring under load only. I've been looking around and aiming towards the VVT Solenoid but I'm uncertain. I have a few videos that hopefully can be uploaded. 2003 162K miles, stock everything, religious oil changes. Only let me upload RPM plunging, I"ll try again tomorrow with engine bay one.

Could be a vacuum leak, try spraying carb cleaner around the intake and check hoses.

What octane do you run?

If you're running lower than 93 put some in with some techron additive.

Update***. I did the timing chain job. Still has the same noise. The secondary tensioners were a little worn, but not enough to make that obnoxious loud noise. This is frustrating. I feel like if it's coming from bank 1, the sound is coming from the intake manifold. It gets louder with RPM change. My buddy did find very light metal shavings on my oil pan. So I might sooner or later have to replace whole engine.

Have you pulled the VIAS butterfly valve out and checked it for noise? The screws can get loose and cause a rattle.

first thing I did was a block off plate. But today after further diagnosis, I believe my lifters or cam bearings are shot
