Door removal

Co worker has a 5th gen 2002 I30. Someone smashed in his passenger doors last week. Is there any tips to removing the car doors?

There's not too much to it.

It's easier with two people. If not, a jack with a towel on it will support the door while you mess with the hinges.

Disconnect the black plastic tensioner/stop first.

The harness has a block/plug that's held with one long 10mm bolt. A ratchet wrench helps get to it.

Have a place to put the door before you remove it. Somewhere safe to lean it and something soft to set it on so it doesn't scratch.

If you can rolled down the window, its a little easier to handle moving the door around.
