Straight pipe too loud please help

Hey so I straightpiped my 01 i30t and I love the way it accelerates with ease and sounds like a race car. There's just one problem. The terrible buzzing rasp I hear when I get on the gas. I'm wanting to know what can I do to get rid of that without reinstalling my cats. I was thinking a resonator might be able to get rid of that buzz but I wanted to put it out there before dropping a bill on something that may not have the desired effect. Thanks!

Put a high flow resonator in. And these cars don't sound like a race car straight piped, just obnoxious.

Straight piping your car and complaining about the buzzing raspy noise when you get on the gas makes as much sense as cutting off a few fingers and complaining that your gloves don't fit.

I'm sure your neighbors appreciate the race car sound too.

Well thanks for the sass and all but I'm not complaining, I knew what I was getting into and yea it sounds pretty good most of the time it's not stock btw and yea I was thinking about a high flow resonator. Do you have any ideas on which brands work best with the VQ30?

Get a magnaflow 22inch resonator, gets rid of the drone while still sounding nice. It's what I have after trying out a couple different sizes.

So it's resolved now. Thanks for the tips I ended up going with two 14in resonators welded together. It got rid of all he rasp and kept the deep full sound I liked from the straight pipe.

can someone help me? i want to remove my muffler on my 2012 nissan maxima and make it sound a little more mean but not obnoxious. I'm new in this whole car thing and i honestly just watch youtube videos of other maximas "straight piped" and some with resonator deleted and muffler delete. should i remove both? or just the muffler first?

no, he was replying to someone else

Maybe someone here can help you with your question, but your vehicle is a 7th gen maxima, ask your question here https://maxima.org/forums/7th-genera...-2009-2015-78/
