flywheel

I'm thinking it's time for a new flywheel and was wondering if anyone has ever had a similar issue... my 02 SE has that worn engine mount feeling when taking of from a stop in first but i have the energy suspension mount inserts installed... i had my brother check for engine movement when releasing the clutch in first and he said it barely moves... my car is at over 230,000 miles at the moment...

when i first put in the E.S. insets the car would take off nicely from a stop and now it has that heavy quick grab but sluggish roll off.... i put a new OEM clutch kit in at 175,000 miles...

it likely that you may need a new flywheel the fact that you mention you have over 230k miles. Probably worn to beyond minimum spec, where the clutch wouldn't grab on the flywheel.

Does it feel like it's slipping?
Will it bark the tires on launch or on the 1-2 shift?

If it's not slipping it's probably something else.

the main thing i notice is that when i take off from a dead stop the roll off response is real poor.. if i try to take off real fast from a dead stop it does feel like it has some slippage but not when i shift from 1st to 2nd, it will chirp the tires going from 1st to second...
