2002 driver side master switch

My 2002's driver side window just stopped working yesterday. It rolled down and when I tried to roll it up there was nothing. I can't even hear the motor working. This lead me to think it was a bad switch and not the actuator.

I went to the junkyard today and grabbed three switches just in case there was a bad one. They are from different years and none of them worked or didn't work right. Either I manage to get 3 bum switches or they all managed to be incompatible. My harness plugs into all three fine. Are these switches year specific? The ones I'm finding on eBay are kind of expensive for being used.

The ones I got:
01 Maxima (GXE?)- only drivers auto. Did not work for all four windows and no door lock

01 I30- both sides auto. Back windows worked. Power locks worked. Both front windows didn't work

03 Maxima- both sides auto. Different design. Nothing worked. This was from a car that was hit in the driver side door so it may be bad.

The switches from the 2000s and 2001s are not compatible with 2002. In 2003 they started using a different switches I believe, in anticipation of the 6th gen maxima.. I'm pretty sure you can only use 2002 switches.

King_Ten_Ahead is right. You have to use a switch for your year. Any other year will not work.

King_Ten_Ahead and DennisMik, having this same issue for about a year or more. Do either of you know if the 2003s compatible with the 2004, 2005, the earliest 6th gens?

Has anyone opened the master switched to clean & di-lectric grease the contacts?

i have no evidence, but I would assume that its quite possible. Doesnt make much sense that theyd swap out the switches for the last model year just for kicks.

IMO, if the switch is having issues, just get another and call it good.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading posts by others that said the 2003 and 2004 switches are the same with the exception that the plastic buttons are different.
