2003 Automatic Maxima 4 inch intake problems

Hi
I’m new to the forum, I have a 2003 Base Automatic Maxima, I just bought a intake off a guy from Kijiji, it’s 4 inch’s in diameter with a spot to screw in the mass air flow sensor, I installed it this morning and the car won’t rev past 2500 rpm, I’m not sure what the problem would be? I gave up and reinstalled the stock intake, anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

And how do you suppose the ECU knows you have a 4" intake? It's reading far less air.

You need a reflash. PM MurphysLaw. He resurrected 5.5 gen reflashing.

4 inch diameter intake is a must to retune the engine. You better off to return it and install a 3 inch diameter intake that doesnt need a retune. I recommend CGR intake 3 inch diameter, you can ask Douglas Sand to make one for you.

And I was assuming he had other bolt ons...I'm guessing he doesn't.

Engine gonna go bye bye if you still have precats, OP. No point buying anything until that's addressed.

Get one of these instead: 3" CGR intake w/6" V-stack & Blox filter.
