Hello Everyone. I have a 03 nissan maxima and several months ago i ran out of gas and the fuel level was at quarter of a tank and the dte said i had 100 until empty. Well i swapped out the sending unit 2x times and still having the same issue. I've done the dashboard diagnostic test. I've even taken tested it by taken another fuel pump and connecting the electrical to it and raising the arm all the way up and letting down. It works on full but won't go all the way down just barely below 1/2 a tank. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

 

My 03 Maxima had inaccurate fuel readings and a P0462. It was the cluster. I sent it out for repair. Guy on eBay $80.

 

Ya, it's the cluster. I've got a thread that shows how to fix it or there are some places you could send it to

 

yup had same problem here several years ago - instrument cluster is no good. Mine never threw a code over it though.

 

intersting, and i have some suspicion mine is acting up, but keep us posted what you do.
