I was out driving around tonight and I see this 97-99 prelude at the light, so i come up behind him and see that he has an exhaust system, I saw a big APEX-i sticker on his car . As the light turned green I can hear him revvin his engine to engage the gears so I knew it was a stick shift, Im in the racing mood so I prepare to manually shift my automagic, put it in 1st and we're off, im on his tail and I hear him switch to 2nd and I stay on his rear to show i want to race, so i hear his 2nd wind all the way up and hear his VTEC kick in, and Im in 2nd and WOT, and im about to SLAM INTO HIS REAR!!!!!, he chirps 3rd gear and im into 3rd and have to brake!!! I go around him and start walking slowly. And with my luck the light ahead turns red.... and we race to the line and start revving, I time the light just right since in an R/T freak, and green! we're OFF!, Im off about .525 sec before him , I hear him peel like crazy, i chrip a little bit off the line and through 1st I see him in my rear view, into 2nd I see him struggling to catch up, at the top of third i let off, and keep it in 2nd, and I see him catch up and he gives me a snarl and he dumps and we're off again! im still in 2nd and i just give it WOT and im off by 2 cars again, and im like **** it i get into 3rd and shut it down at 90, with him 3+ cars back.

I killed a RSX type s tonight myself

 

I got beat by a Type S tonight. Well, sort of. I pulled up next to him (my friend) at a stop sign (we were on our way to a "gathering" at a friends house). Anyways, I pull up next to him, and I start talking to his g/f who is in his passenger seat. She was telling me that they were just taking off their jackets. Then all of the sudden, he just takes off. He probably got a couple of car lengths on me before I knew what was going on (I'm still trying to get over this stinkin cold, so I'm not as quick minded as normal). I took off like I normally do from stop signs, then I realized that if he won I would never live it down. So I hit the gas, squeeled the tires a little, but never caught back up to him. I was starting to gain a little, but we had to slow for an upcoming turn. And of course, when we got to our friend's place, he was tellin everyone that he smoked me.

 

nah...don't worry about it. you'll beat him. I have a auto 2k2, and my car weights about 800 more lbs, and full tank of gas. and I had him by a car length to 80. he also has intake & exhaust. Unless your friend is "modded", you shouldn't have any problem killing him

 

DAMN....I WANT 2K2.....lol

2k2 has no problem beating those perludes even if its manual....and we are talking about an auto maxima 2k2, imagine what a manaul could do....d***, i am jelous sometimes of thoes people with a 2k2

 

All right. Thx for the vote of confidence. I have been trying to get him to run me, but he is too scared. That's why he had to use the dirty tactics. Now that he "took" me this time, I don't think that he'll want to go again. I don't know though, I just gotta make sure that I'm out driving when he is. I can usually pressure him to do stupid things when we are out driving.

 

BTW, you don't even need to manual shift.......just let da "automagic" do its thAng
