Transmission Filter change WOW what a mess
Transmission filter fluid change was not a fun job I guess they had broken off a bolt in the screen and they put a stud in there and every time you go to turn the nut stuck with turn also and I guess the last guy that tried to change the filter got mad at it and beat the **** out of it because I mean it wouldn't come off for a while so I took the filter bent it over and apply pressure and I turn the nut that seen that work fine I couldn't believe that I thought I was going to have to cut a slot into stud you just screwed already open-end wrench to do it but luckily it did I couldn't grind it because you couldn't have the grindings in the transmission that would **** it up for sure at least there was no metal in the transmission so 2 hours so far 3 hours probably I'm being attacked by a bunch of beetles and June bugs and mosquitoes outside at 11 at night about 10:30 I won't get done until 2 probably but that gook that's in the bottom of the transmission pan is paint and I'm sure that's was screwing up the transmission oh great now it's a damn moths coming to **** with me I have no idea why there's a pain on the bottom of the pan and it looks like I'm no idea

That paint was originally adhered to the inside of the pan. It looks like someone added some kind of solvent or cleaning solution in there...maybe a half assed transmission service? I hope you scraped all of that paint off.
But congrats! Transmission work is always the worst, right next to CV boots.

No experience with the app but datascan 2 with the blue kkl whatever cable works great with my 2k 5 speed and 2k1 Gle. I lost the 5 speed key and actually programmed the Gle key to it and start it with a door key no problem lol. That pan looks great. Didn't know they put a adhesioned paint in there. Kinda got me wanting to drop it and take the dremel to it. Love the dremel 4000, wiggle hose attachment, and wire brushes for it. I've done so much detailing with them.

A couple years ago I dropped the pan on my mom's 2005 sentra and took gasket cleaner to clean off residue for a new gasket and the overspray or dribbles bubbled up the ecoat paint on the main pan surface. I ended up just stripping it all off with that stuff.
Worked good but that wasn't my plan. I was so afraid it would just keep peeling and would get pieces of paint into the trans and so I saw no other way but to take it all off.
Gasket remover will do all sorts of things!!!! 😢

I drop the transmission pan 3 years ago , tried to replace the transmission filter however the remaining nut that holds the filter is factory sealed meaning if you try to removed it the bolt will break. No need to replace because this is just a fine mesh wire filter nothing inside, just spray it with contact cleaner. I still have the brand new OEM Genuine Nissan Transmission Filter The critical part is a must to clean the solenoid with contact electrical cleaner to remove the sludge. Make sure the tip of each bolt that holds the pan are coated with loctite , to avoid leak. Mine I replaced it with new OEM bolt coated on the tip. I used Amsoil OE Synthetic ATF up to present the ATF is still blood red in color.
