cross member bushing.
i was wondering what kind of systems would i notice if the cross member bushing were bad. i just replaced all my mounts and installed E.S. polyurethane mount inserts.
i still hear a slight thud when i reverse and car doesn't feel to snappy when i take of fast from a start..
I also have new flywheel and clutch kit installed

I just replaced the rad support and the bushings. Same thud forward or reverse. Replaced transmission/drivers side mount. Same. So its narrowed down to the passenger side mount or the 2 on the crossmember . Going to try passenger side motor mount soon. looks like an egg. Just don't have a deep enough socket

SES bushing is garbage, mine lasted for 2 years . I used the genuine OEM Nissan bushing. You need to torque the bolts that holds the cross member (77-98 ft-lbs). SES bushing squeeze out like a marshmallow when you tighten the bolt for proper torque.

my crossmember bushing is OEM. I had my one of my friends watch the engine as i rolled off in 1st and he said its in there solid no flexing..
after driving around a bit I'm starting to wonder if i'm having a lack of low end torque maybe the butterfly valves in the intake plenum not working properly?
car seems to have that high RPM VTECish kick @ 4,500 rpm instead of a smooth torque curve...
