P0171 Lean Bank 1
2001 Maxima GLE 140,000 miles
So I got the P0171 Bank 1 Lean SES light. I felt a little loss of power and used about 1/4 of gas in about 80 miles. Horrible. Scan tool showed long term fuel trim of about +29.
I put in a new Mass Air Flow Sensor and reset the code. Everything seems great. Power is back and getting great mileage. However, my scan tool continues to show of high fuel trim of about +19 to +26. I went for a long trip after replacing the MAF and it's still showing a high LT fuel trim.
Do you think I'm not understanding what my cheap scan tool is showing me given that everything seems good? I just did a crash course of fuel trim on you tube so I'm no expert. Any thoughts?
