Infiniti rear shade into maxima
Anyone install an infiniti rear shade in their max?? I have the shade, decklid, and switch and have read all the write ups. I'm trying to bench test it before I put it in to make sure it works. Anyone have a wiring diagram? I have two shades and I can't get either of them to move by battery power. I've read on some other write ups that white is power, black is ground, and the red and green are contacted to ground to go up or down but that doesn't seem to work for me.

You are correct that the white wire is 12 volts and the black wire is ground. The red wire connected to ground is for the shade up and the green wire connected to ground is for shade down.
Could it be that you are jumpering to the wrong pins in the control unit connector?
Pin 1 red wire
Pin 2 green wire
Pin 5 white wire
Pin 6 black wire
This is looking into the control unit connector or the back (wire side) of the wire harness connector.
