P0340- cam or crank sensor, or all of them?

My car recently starting dying suddenly while driving. It will restart, but takes a few seconds of cranking. I was lucky enough to get a check engine light and code from it. the code, P0340, for the rear (bank1) cam sensor. I replaced that one and the problem persisted. I then replaced the front cam sensor, and the problem still persisted. the next sensor to replace would be the crank sensor, but dont these other sensors have their own fault codes. Can a P0340 be tripped by a crank sensor, even though it specifically references a cam sensor, or am i just needlessly throwing parts at this car?

As for using OEM sensors. I found some references to the OEM being Hitachi, and some referencing Delphi as the OEM. I bought the Delphi cam sensors as they were locally available.

replace all the 3 OEM, or you will waste your time and money.

i had no codes, had a dealership physically check the failing sensors , said they were good, problems continued, replaced w aftermarket NAPA, problems came back in less than 12 months.

replace all the 3 OEM, that's it

good advice, it worked. Replaced all 3 sensors with hitachi sensors from rockauto. The problem has gone away.
