Crankshaft Sensor location

I have to replace the crankshaft position sensor on my 02 maxima tomorrow and am having a hard time finding anything online with a good picture of where it is located? Also I have read to change your cam sensor(s) when changing your crank sensor, why is this? Also Im guessing I change both cam bank 1 and 2.

It's right there on the front of the transmission where it bolts to the engine when you get under the car :|
It plugs into the harness where the O2 sensors do. You can follow the wire straight down.

No, you don't have to replace the cam sensors, but if they're originals, then it is wise to b/c they'll eventually fail (known issue with a TSB - car will shut off while driving).

Is this the crank sensor? The object on the left is the bottom right of the transmission pan. I am underneath the car with my feet facing the front looking up.

Replace with OEM is my suggestion! Stay away from O'Reilly, Autozone, Advance....their's seem to last about a few months to a year (don't know why!) and the OEM stuff just seems to last forever....I would shop ABC Nissan, Courtesy, or ASAPparts Nissan too save some money.

possibly dealing with this now, replaced 1 of the 3 sensors from NAPA in NOV 2014, (which resolved the issue at the time) and now dealing with same shut off while driving symptoms,

could be remaining two the incoherent shop couldn't replace or the 1 aftermarket crapping out.

scheduled to do OEM a week from today, lets hope this **** dont shut off at a scary time like 60 mph on middle lane highway
