https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/part...413-ja20a.html

This stuff is cheap and available. Why can't we use this stuff?

Will the altima 7-13 trans bolt to my vq30dek?
And the shifter assembly and cables?
If you say it's not direct bolt in, then the 02-4 maxima stuff isn't either . For my 01 maxima.

By the way if anyones wondering it's been off the road through the winter.awaiting some custom exhaust work.

Those trans will bolt to the engine. However, the reason it will not work in a 4th/5th gen (easily) is because the shift selector shaft has moved to the location of the old trans mount on the older transmissions and will get in the way of the typical 4th/5th gen trans mount options.
Have a look at them on eBay and see for yourself.

I am sorry just seen this.

What your saying is, the mount the 01 has, gets in the way of the gear selector? So the tranny mount on the new altima is different? Can't i change to the altima mount?

I will try to find pictures

Thanks

I found a picture but i am confused ,looks like it is moved there like you said. But the trans mount is still in that location?

Maybe we need that mount.?

Interesting, the trans I saw had the mount attached and for whatever reason it looked nothing like a mount.

So it's good that there are still mounting bosses up top. But there are still a few unknowns
1. Is the case any bigger to enclose the shifter assembly? Potential body clearance issue.
2. Reverse and neutral sensors have moved, potential body/mount clearance issue.
3. Axle/diff diameter and or spline count change?
4. Mounting boss locations might make it more difficult to attach a mount to the 4th5th gen body compared to the older 6mt.

It's a 3.5, it appears the 2.5 is different and the mounts. I may be wrong but different part numbers
